Where Camden Road Corridor begins and ends

Follows Camden Road roughly from its intersection near East/West Boulevard south toward Tremont Avenue, running parallel to South Boulevard one block east.

Camden Road runs parallel to South Boulevard but has developed at a smaller scale, with converted bungalows, low brick storefronts, and boutique-sized retail rather than large mixed-use podiums. It reads as an in-between space — not quite Dilworth's residential streets, not quite the density of the Rail Trail Core.

Restaurants and shops along Camden tend toward independent operators rather than national chains, and turnover has historically been higher here than on South Boulevard, giving the corridor a slightly more experimental feel. Some buildings still carry visible signage or architecture from earlier commercial uses.

Residential options along and just off Camden Road include a mix of small apartment buildings, some rowhomes, and proximity to Dilworth's single-family streets, which makes this corridor attractive to people who want a foot in both South End's energy and a more traditional neighborhood feel.

Because it's one block removed from the light rail and South Boulevard's heaviest traffic, Camden Road can feel calmer in the evenings, even though it's a short walk from the busiest parts of South End.
