Discover South End is an independent editorial publication about South End in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, Charlotte Center City Partners, the South End Municipal Service District, the Charlotte Area Transit System, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, or any homeowner association, condominium association, developer, or brokerage.

We prefer primary sources: county parcel and assessment records, the Charlotte Unified Development Ordinance, transit and school agency publications, and licensing boards. Where a claim rests on a secondary source, we say so. Every FAQ answer on the site carries a visible source link.

Pages are reviewed on a rolling basis, and any page describing fast-moving conditions — the development pipeline, restaurant and brewery rosters, transit service — is checked more often. Substantive corrections are logged on the corrections page.
