Dog-Friendly Afternoon
South End is one of the most dog-tolerant districts in Charlotte — the Rail Trail is full of leashes, and most taprooms treat dogs as regulars. This route sticks to patios and beer gardens.

How to run it well
- Dogs must stay leashed on the Rail Trail and on every patio.
- Beer gardens get loud after 4pm on Saturdays — an anxious dog will do better earlier.
- Carry water; shade is thin on the southern half of the trail.
