The Rail Trail Brewery Crawl
South End's taprooms are the reason a lot of people first come here, and the Rail Trail strings them together without a car. This is the crawl locals actually run: start north, drift south, eat in the middle so the last two stops land well.

How to run it well
- Do not drive this. The Blue Line runs the length of the crawl and the Rail Trail connects every stop.
- Saturdays after 3pm get genuinely crowded — starting at 1pm buys you two easy stops first.
- Most taprooms rely on rotating food trucks; the sit-down meal in the middle is what keeps this pleasant.
- Bring cash for truck vendors and keep a card open at each bar to speed the tab.

Yes. The Charlotte Rail Trail links most of the district's taprooms within about two miles, and the LYNX Blue Line parallels it if you want to skip a leg.
