The Rainy Day Plan

South End is an outdoor district, which makes a rainy day feel like a dead end. It isn't — the mill buildings are enormous, and most of the good rooms are indoors anyway.

How to run it well

  • The Blue Line platforms are covered but the walk from them usually is not — bring an umbrella.
  • Rainy weekdays are the best time to walk into rooms that are otherwise a 45-minute wait.
