Free Range Brewing Annex occupies a converted industrial shell off Camden Road, one of the taproom warehouses that turned South End into Charlotte's brewery district. The space is built for volume — long communal tables, a garage-door wall that opens to a patio, and a taplist that rotates fast enough to reward repeat visits.
The beer program is ipa-forward brewery, and the taproom itself does most of the work: food trucks cycle through on weekends, dogs are welcome on the patio, and the crowd skews toward groups meeting up after a run or ride on the rail trail nearby. It's rarely a quiet pour.
